NCJW MN Presentation: 30 Years After Beijing

This year marks the 30 years since the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, an agenda for women’s empowerment considered the key policy document on gender equality.
Among the participants at the 1995 Beijing Conference was Judy Lear, past president of NCJW St. Paul. Thirty years later, Judy, now representing the International Council of Jewish Women, and NJCW MN board member Helen Rubenstein are traveling to New York to attend the UN Commission on the Status of Women, where progress over the past 30 years will be reviewed. Both Judy and Helen will be participating in panels and attending various
sessions.

On April 16th , NCJW MN is excited to host a presentation by Judy and Helen about their
experience at the UN Commission on the Status of Women. In-person (NCJW offices) and
hybrid zoom options will be available.
